Summer Series Handicap Race 4 – 16th Feb 2025

It was another productive day at Manly Marina. Despite a high wind warning in Moreton Bay, conditions within the marina featured light and variable westerly winds. This created early racing challenges as participants sought to find favourable breezes. Later in the morning, the wind intensified and shifted towards the north, varying between 0-10 km/hr.

Although three of Manly's IOM sailors were competing in the Nationals this weekend, the IOM class had a strong turnout with a fleet of 18 boats participating. The DF65 fleet was smaller, consisting of just seven boats. In addition to navigating through light winds, the DF65s frequently collected seaweed, which further added to the challenges faced.

Thanks to Dudley and Nick as Race Officers, John and Paul for result calculations, and the Bouybot course crew.
