Jonesy wins Coomera Cup for the 4th year in a row

Well done Paul, you have actually won every Coomera Cup since this was the 4th time it has been run. Maybe we could get a perpetual trophy and leave it at your home.

CC2024 was held over two days , 22nd and 23rd of June.

Day 1 saw 26 competitors set up for some very competitive racing in light south westerly winds. The day was overcast and very chilly. Luckily there was only a short period of rain in the morning.

The SCRSC catering was second to none. Cold drinks, coffee and snack all day. Hamburgers for lunch and beers, wine and nibbles after racing.

Day 2 ,again, saw a steady south westerly under sunny skies all day. A cracker day. Sausage sizzle for lunch, plenty of drinks, fruit and snacks.

A big thank you to the Race Management Team. They made it smooth sailing (pardon the pun).

SCRSC , the co-host, certainly know how to run an event. Do not miss the next SCRSC event! Nineteen heats were completed and the well attended trophy presentation was made ahead of schedule. Racing was very close with 9 different heat winners. Full results, see the link below.

Masters Champion for CC 2024 is Glen Fitzgerald.

We were all winners. How lucky are we to be able to partake in such a fun sport in beautiful surroundings? One of the best regattas I have attended. Thanks to everyone.
