Handicap Race 6 – 20th October 2024
Today’s competitors faced gusty 10-knot southerly winds in the marina.
The IOM fleet featured some very close racing, with Stephen #86, who has transitioned from the DF fleet, coming in second, a great start to his IOM racing career.
The DF fleet showcased a variety of rigs, including A+, A, and B, each sailor aiming for an advantage at different points of the course. Ultimately, the ‘A’ rig prevailed, with Phil securing first place and Bob coming in second on a ‘B’ rig, while the remaining yachts used A+ sails.
Once again, we all enjoyed a delightful day’s racing in the marina, with a high tide, great winds, and a warm, sunny Brisbane day.
