Learning how to sail at Beginners to Winners.

When the Beginners to Winners School started up, many of our sailors had never sailed before, and their learning curve was steep. This is a light hearted look back on the early days with lots of things going awry.

While some come to socialise or just have a sail, which is great, but most are there to learn the finer skills of racing RC yachts.

It’s those participants in the school who have improved dramatically and it's a real pleasure to watch those sailors develop their skills and really enjoy this fantastic sport. Their improvement is a testament to their drive to become winners and to the huge effort put in by Russell Gray in developing the school and the support of Don Horton and Dean Horton.

Come and join the fun. It only costs $3 per day and that might even include a brownie or two!. It’s open to everyone, young and old, male and female, and it’s a friendly environment in which to learn how to sail.

The video below is our version of a blooper video and was filmed at the Wynnum Wading Pool. Have fun out there :)
