Xmas Challenge & Round 2 Summer Series Handicap-15 Dec 2024
With a record number of boats on the water and a table full of trophies we were set for a great morning on the water!
Some serious prices were to be won! Christmas cake and pudding in large and heavy quantities. It was the last chance to get some points for the handicap summer series and to try and get your name on the board! The bouybots were in place to form a course for the DF65s and the one meters and were behaving great! Even the strong breeze couldn’t hinder them! It was a challenge for the boats as the wind changed from soft to strong more quickly then we were able to change sails (or adjust them)!
There was plenty of action on the water! But everyone had fun and gave each other room! The aim for our Xmas challenge was clear, number 1 have fun, number 2 try to win some races (but not all). Slab had so much fun he emptied the battery of his DF65 and the rescue boat proved it’s value again!
After 8 races the wind became too much for many and the number of boats which were slightly out of control reached the treshold. The decision to enjoy some sausages was quickly made.
