J.D. McLachlan trophies

Last year your club introduced the DF65 class RC racing yacht. The numbers regularly sailing DF65 are growing slowly and steadily to the extent that your management ream have decided to match the IOM trophies/prizes/awards to those of the IOM class.

John McLachlan, our vice commodore, kindly donated, about 12 months ago, the club DF65 to use as a demonstration boat for newbies to try.

John joined the club in 2003 and has been Member, Vice Commodore (2 yrs) Commodore (8 yrs) awarded Life Membership, Treasurer (2 yrs) Vice Commodore and currently (another 2 yrs). 

John's generosity has now extended to donating the Perpetual trophies for the DF65 Handicap and Scratch events that match the Clive Brooks trophies. These trophies will be called the J.D. McLachlan trophies.
